Our wardrobe for The Wizard of Oz costumes underwent a redesign and complete remanufacture, and can be seen here in performance as a coherent, full wardrobe in a performance at Sheffield City Hall.
The show opens with Dorothy in sepia gingham, changing to blue gingham when she famously steps from the ruined Kansas farmhouse into Munchkinland. Munchkins are an assortment of contrasting colours, to give the fantasy, other-worldly feel. We have fanastic foam poppy headdresses for the poppy field scene, and red, black and white polkadot dresses for the Jitterbug. An assortment of green tones in a range of non-specific periods/styles are worn by full company in the Emerald City.
The Wizard of Oz as a complete wardrobe only (i.e. we cannot supply only the principal costumes). We can supply Munchkins for either adult or junior sizes (please let us know how you plan to cast at point of enquiry). We provide only for the RSC version of this show (check your script/licence to see which of the two available versions you have - there are some differences in the characters required).
