MTI Shows holds the rights to the stage musical version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Broadway version) and are offering the licence for performance by UK community theatre groups. Molly Limpet's was excited to be at the forefront of the launch of yet another exciting musical, and this title has become a steady favourite for bookings at Molly Limpet's.
We have TWO BRAND NEW full working wardrobes for this show: the one shown in the images here is for adult companies, and the latest to be produced being for schools/juniors (strictly cast ages between 11-18; we cannot cater for younger). Molly Limpet's acquired some of the original principal West End costumes from the professional staging of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, including Mrs TV, Verucca Salt, Mr Salt, Violet Beauregarde (including her 'trick' costumes), Mr Beauregarde, Charlie Bucket and Mrs Gloop. Our NEW full licence wardrobe incorporates some of these costumes, size-depending. All other design/realisation of costumes shown here remains the intellectual property of Molly Limpet's, as designed by Scott McKenzie, our in-house designer.
Our Oompa Loompas send this show straight into fantasyland. We conceived a way to make costumes much more accessible for your ensemble (which will also please your choreographers!) and are not simply repeating what has gone before. As always, Molly Limpet's in-house designer and talented Team have been hard at work researching the show, the history of the book, and the staging of such a technical show for community theatre, in order that you can trust you are in the safest of hands.
