Terms and Conditions of Hire of Fancy Dress Costumes

All costumes remain the property of "Molly Limpet's Theatrical Emporium Ltd"

Costume hire is for one day/night duration. Extra days charged at 25% per day that we are open. Full week hire charged at additional 100%.

Costumes must be returned on the day specified on the booking form. Failure to do so will result in a 25% per costume per day surcharge.

Costumes must be returned during normal shop hours. The costumes and accessories are the sole responsibility of the hirer when taken from the premises and are hired on the understanding that they are returned on the date due back and in an undamaged condition.

No refunds will be issued if a costume has been cancelled once it has been booked.

No refunds will be issued on accessories unless they are proven to be faulty.

The total hire price must be paid to book a costume; no costume will be held without this payment.

Customers must wear underwear whilst wearing our costumes.

Costumes or their monetary value are not transferable. Any change is subject to a 10.00 fee, and is solely at the discretion of "Molly Limpet's Theatrical Emporium Ltd".

Customers must NOT wash, pin, sew, iron, cut, alter or affix sticky labels to the costumes or suit bags.

The deposit will be forfeited, or the cost of a replacement charged if the costume is: -
a. Not returned to "Molly Limpet's Theatrical Emporium Ltd" for any reason
b. Returned beyond reasonable repair
c. Returned with permanent damage (e.g. cigarette burn)
d. Returned in need of specialist cleaning
e. Returned excessively dirty (i.e. more than a machine wash)
f. Returned with any items missing
g. Altered without permission.

Costumes do not have wigs or accessories included in the hire price unless otherwise stated.

If a costume has been booked and subsequently damaged (beyond repair) by a third party and is unable to be re-hired, a substitute of comparable size and style will be offered. No further liability is accepted.

Cash and credit/debit cards (over 10.00) are accepted for goods or services.

Cash and credit/debit card only are accepted for security deposit.

No refunds will be given once the costume/s leave the premises. It is the responsibility of the customer to check their order before the item/s leave the premises. Shortages or faults will not be acknowledged at any other time.

Proof of ID & address MUST be provided on collection.

The deposit may not cover the cost of repair or replacement costume. Therefore, we reserve the right to levy extra charges to cover such costs.

We will not accept any responsibility for costumes or garments that do not fit when the sizes for these are given by the hirer or their agent.

We accept no responsibility for any monies or personal belongings left in returned costumes or bags.

We accept no responsibility for any injury or damage to a third party, persons or property caused by caused by the use of goods hired under this agreement.

In the event of any matter being tested at law as a result of the hirer's failure to comply with any of these conditions the hirer agrees to pay the company's costs in the matter.

The company reserves the right to change any part, colour or design of costumes without notice.

No liability other than refund of monies paid is accepted by the company for the late return of costumes by a previous hirer.

No refunds will be made for the early return of goods hired.

Costumes are sent out in suit/gown bags with hangers- if ANY of these items are not returned then 5 will be charged per item missing.

It is accepted that these conditions listed have been read, understood and agreed to. Signature of such will be deemed as acceptance of these conditions.<o:p></o:p>
IT IS COMPANY POLICY TO CHARGE FULL REPLACEMENT VALUE
FOR ANY COSTUME / ITEM LOST OR DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR<o:p></o:p>
Please bring your paperwork with you for collection AND return of costumes. No costume will be issued without proof of ID (showing name and address).<o:p></o:p>
